📰 AndHealth and PrimaryOne Health are in in the news! 📰 On Tuesday, AndHealth and PrimaryOne Health celebrated the opening of their new retail and specialty pharmacy with a ribbon cutting in Columbus, Ohio. This new pharmacy comes at a critical juncture, when pharmacy and healthcare deserts are on the rise in Ohio and across the country. Columbus Public Health Commissioner Dr. Mysheika Williams Roberts spoke of the importance of this community-based pharmacy at Tuesday’s ribbon cutting and said, "Thanks to this new collaborative effort, vulnerable residents in our community can improve their health by making their health journey a one-stop shop close to where they live and work. When we improve access to medications and health services, we will improve the health of our vulnerable residents and the health of our entire community." Patients in rural counties often face considerable drive times and wait lists of 6 months or more to see a specialist. AndHealth has partnered with MVHC to help bring specialty care closer to home for people in Muskingum, Morgan, Guernsey, and Coshocton counties. “This partnership represents our commitment to providing rural Ohioans with the best possible care in a manner that is affordable and close to home,” said Dan Atkinson, CEO of MVHC. “There is a deep need for specialty care and specialty medications within our communities and we are proud to partner with AndHealth to help address it.” We are honored to partner with MVHC and to bring Whole-Person Specialty Care to Southeast Ohio.
