Solar farms harness one of earth’s most abundant natural resources, transforming sunlight into a reliable source of electricity that strengthens our grid. The United States has installed over 100 GW of this resilient energy source nationwide—enough to power the equivalent of 22 million homes.

For five generations, the McDonald family has run cattle on their West Texas land. Now, they’ve partnered with Apex to bring solar energy to San Angelo—supporting the local economy, honoring their roots, and securing the land’s future.

Earlier this month, Rocky Forge Wind hosted the Eagle Rock Elementary School STEM Fair—a chance to teach local kids about hard hats, crawler cranes, and the fascinating world of wind farm construction. Over 220 attendees joined to participate in hands-on activities and learn more about the first onshore wind energy project in Apex’s home state of Virginia!

Over the course of #ConstructionSafetyWeek, Apex leadership visited each of our active construction sites to recognize the hard work of the teams bringing America’s energy future to life. 👷👷♀️ These projects represent more than just infrastructure—they’re the result of countless hours of planning, precision, and commitment from talented professionals dedicated to building resilient and low-cost energy systems. These site visits reinforced what we’ve always known: safety excellence and project success go hand in hand.
