  • Here at Approved Fire Doors we are supporting Fire Door safety week. The campaign is organised by the British Woodworking Federation (BWF), supported by its Fire Door Alliance. Fire doors save lives and protect property — but only when they’re correctly installed, maintained, and used. As part of our commitment to safety, we’re raising awareness of the critical role fire doors play in keeping buildings and people safe. Let’s all take the time to check, maintain, and respect fire doors — because they’re more than just doors, they’re a vital part of fire protection. The theme is “Recognise it, Report it” — encouraging the public and duty-holders alike to notice when a fire door isn’t working correctly, report concerns, and understand what makes a fire door safe. This year, there’s a special focus on new fire risks — particularly from lithium-ion batteries (e.g. in e-bikes, phones, power tools) which are increasingly common. The campaign highlights how such risks can affect fire safety if fire doors are damaged, incorrectly maintained, or misused. https://lnkd.in/eiFwDpAE
