Improving the health and well-being of older Californians and their caregivers.
About us
Archstone Foundation is a nonprofit, non-partisan, private foundation dedicated to improving the health and well-being of older Californians and their caregivers so that all older Californians have access to high-quality coordinated care that effectively integrates health and social services. For almost 40 years, we have used grantmaking, coalition building, and thought leadership to focus on the fastest growing population in the state: older people. In addition, we work to ensure that future systems of care meet the needs of historically marginalized people, are culturally and linguistically appropriate, and serve to reduce disparities in health and well-being.

Black history is American history. And Black History Month offers a moment to pause and reflect on our shared commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. At Archstone Foundation, we work to strengthen health and social care systems so that all older adults can thrive as they age. We recognize that equity must be embedded in both policy and practice. We are committed to honoring Black history and fostering belonging and inclusion not only this month, but throughout the year. This February, we celebrate the lasting and enduring contributions of Black older adults and reaffirm our responsibility to build a future where working toward justice is an intentional action and where every voice matters. #BlackHistoryMonth

Archstone Foundation reposted this
It’s impossible to ignore how much the landscape for aging and care has shifted over the past year, and how that shift is being felt by older adults and the organizations that serve them. In my latest blog post, Our Strategy to Meet This Moment, I share how we at Archstone Foundation have listened, reflected, and charted a new strategic direction through 2030, grounded in partnership, community voice, and a deep commitment to equitable aging. I’m grateful to everyone who helped shape this work and hope you’ll take a few minutes to read about how we’re inviting you to join us in moving forward together toward this vision. The needs of older adults and the organizations that serve them are evolving, being shaped by shifting policies, funding pressures, and growing inequities. At Archstone Foundation, we’re taking a look at how to best respond to these realities and partner with communities to catalyze equitable change in health and social care systems. In his latest blog post, President & CEO Rigo Saborio shares how the Foundation has developed a new strategic direction based on what we’ve learned by listening to partners, engaging older adults, and assessing what this moment demands. This plan will guide us as we pursue our mission to improve health and social care for all older adults in California. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/efz-fWS6
