I joined Evelyn Lee on Practice of Architecture's Practice Disrupted to talk about what happens when someone from the software world steps into the world of architecture. It’s been… enlightening. Architects think in poetry and constraints, beauty and budgets, and then open software that seems determined to test their patience. Our conversation wasn’t about “disruption” (we’ve all heard that one before). It was about possibility, and what it might look like if the tools architects use actually felt as considered as the things they design. We spoke about change, resistance, and the quiet hope that better technology can give people more time to actually design. If you’re curious about how the mindsets of software and architecture might meet (hint: Arcol) give it a listen. 🎧 https://lnkd.in/dpUar23W Thank you, Evelyn, for such a thoughtful conversation and for making space for these crossovers to exist.

Boards are an iceberg 🧊 I’ve said it before, but Arcol Boards are much deeper than they seem. For those who don’t know, Boards are your documentation environment inside Arcol. Think Miro meets InDesign — and with the addition of Tables, they’re also Excel-lite. Today, they’re a powerful infinite canvas for moodboarding, presentations, and storytelling. But that’s just the surface. At scale, Boards are the layer for everything non-modeling in Arcol, a vision we first wrote about nearly four years ago in our manifesto. Client comments. Pro-formas. Renders. Charts. Presentations. Analytics. Everything. The incredible Gabriel Sayag put together a quick tutorial overview - check it out 👇 🎥 https://lnkd.in/ee-WMVvT Because Boards aren’t just where your documentation lives - they’re where your project comes to life 🏗️

Excited to partner with Arcol on bringing zoning intelligence directly into design! Now, designers and owners can explore zoning codes and building controls in real time, all within Arcol. Smarter feasibility. Faster decisions. ✌
New feature drop 🚀 🆕 Zoning Information & Analysis in Arcol Zoning can be a messy, time consuming and often overlooked part of design. Missed requirements can mean hours of rework. So we built something better. We teamed up with Zoneomics to brings up-to-date, standardized zoning data directly into Arcol. Explore sites and instantly see zoning codes, permitted uses, and building controls. No more jumping between spreadsheets and zoning maps. Just clear, actionable zoning intelligence, right where you design. 🧠 Smarter feasibility. Faster decisions. All in one streamlined tool. Design decisions shape every project, but too often they happen in a silo. Arcol is the collaboration layer that brings architects, builders, and owners into the same live space. We’ll be showing it at Procore Groundbreak in Houston, Oct 14–16. 📍 Booth 1135 Come see what happens when design and build finally talk to each other.
Not just another BIM platform. Arcol is a new way for architects, builders, and owners to finally work in the same live space. We’re bringing it to Procore Technologies Groundbreak, Oct 14–16. 📍 Booth 1135 See what collaboration looks like when design isn’t a silo anymore.

At Arcol, we’ve always believed that building better starts with curiosity, collaboration, and care: the same values that shape how we design, build, and connect with one another. Today we’re excited to launch the Arcol Community Page, a growing home for the people shaping the future of design tech. → See projects created by real architects, designers, and students around the world. → Join our Slack group to swap ideas, get feedback, and build alongside others. → Explore upcoming events where you can learn, experiment, and share your work. This isn’t just our community. It’s yours. Come see what people are building, and explore ways to add your voice to the conversation. https://hubs.ly/Q03MQxQT0 #Arcol #Architecture #DesignTechnology #BIM #AEC #Community #Curiosity #Collaboration #Care
