🚀 Get ready- recruitment for the ARISE Master’s Programme is about to begin!   Starting November 1, future innovators in #HumanComputerInteraction (HCI) and #ExtendedReality (XR) will have the chance to apply to ARISE - Advanced Realities for Innovation and Skills Enhancement, the new double-degree Master’s shaping the next generation of #digitalpioneers in Europe.   ARISE will train over 150 MSc-level participants through a cross-European study experience offered by eight universities in six EU countries, in close collaboration with innovative SMEs and research partners. ARISE Impact: Bridging the Gap in Advanced Digital Skills in Europe Across Europe, the demand for experts in #ExtendedReality (XR), Human–Computer Interaction, and immersive technologies is growing faster than ever. 🧑💻 As forecasted by the European Commission, #XRtechnologies are driving a rapidly growing labour market, with around 860,000 new jobs expected across Europe by 2025. Yet, the advanced skills needed to power this growth remain in short supply. That’s what ARISE - Advanced Realities for Innovation and Skills Enhancement is here to change. New beginnings in Bari 🇮🇹 Last week’s EIT Digital Master School Kick-off in Bari set the tone for the academic year ahead, a gathering of bright minds, educators, and innovators shaping Europe’s digital future. Representatives of ARISE - Advanced Realities for Innovation and Skills Enhancement also joined this flagship event to connect with the broader ecosystem and prepare the ground for the project’s next phase. 🧑🎓 Among them was Mika P. Nieminen, EIT Digital Master School HCID Programme Lead and ARISE partner. At the Kick-Off he met with the new students of the current #HumanComputerInteraction and Design major with a teaser of things to come. 💬 ARISE will transform #HCID into a leading European #ExtendedReality master’s programme (HCID/XR). 🚀 ARISE Takes Off: Shaping the Future of XR Education in Europe Last week we officially launched ARISE - Advanced Realities for Innovation and Skills Enhancement with a dynamic two-day kickoff full of energy and collaboration! ✨ From the very beginning, we set clear objectives: to create self-standing #XR learning modules, launch a #master’s programme circle, establish transparent #recruitment processes and standards, and ensure strong #qualityassurance across every activity. These goals go beyond #academia, connecting directly to the UN #SustainableDevelopmentGoals, from Quality Education to Climate Action. 🌍 The agenda was as dynamic as the project itself. We had roundtable introductions and timeline discussions that gave way to sessions on #communication, marketing, and #promotion. We had coffee breaks and dinner, which sparked informal exchanges for the work ahead. Day two deepened the momentum, focusing on structuring activities without losing #creativity and setting the stage for long-term #impact. 🙌 Introducing ARISE: Europe’s New XR Education Initiative Step into new realities, where #digital and #physical worlds blend seamlessly. What once lived only in novels and films is now here: #ExtendedReality #XR. With support from the EU’s #DigitalEuropeProgramme, the ARISE - Advanced Realities for Innovation and Skills Enhancement project launched in July 2025 to strengthen Europe’s leadership in XR. ARISE will deliver a new wave of #XReducation: a double-degree Master’s in Human–Computer Interaction and Design with XR specialisation, certified online modules for students and professionals, and a strong focus on Innovation & Entrepreneurship. 🎯 The goal: prepare graduates to transform industries from healthcare and education to aerospace, culture, and manufacturing.
