We're proud to join Major League Baseball in going purple in honor of #SpiritDay and taking a stand against bullying and supporting our LGBTQ+ youth💜 In honor of the day, we welcomed kids from Betty Fairfax GSA to play catch at Chase Field, alongside GM Mike Hazen and our staff, creating a space of belonging, kindness, and connection through baseball.

About us
The Arizona Diamondbacks have won five National League West Division Championships (1999, 2001-02, 2007, 2011) since entering Major League Baseball as an expansion franchise in 1998. The D-backs also became the fastest expansion team to win a World Series Championship after defeating the New York Yankees in the 2001 World Series in only their fourth year of existence. The club plays its games at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix, which features a signature swimming pool and a retractable roof, to keep fans comfortable in an air-conditioned facility during the hot summer months. The organization has also given back more than $55 million to non-profit organizations in Arizona since 1997 through its Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and is consistently named among the “Best Places to Work” by the Phoenix Business Journal and BestCompaniesAZ. Celebrating a special birthday today with a look back at a very special field dedication. Earlier this year, Ketel Marte Field was commemorated at Madison Simis Elementary, home to hundreds of baseball and softball players from RAMMS Little League. Special thanks to our partners at Arizona Public Service - APS for helping to make this project come to life.

𝐖𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞! The Diamondbacks are a finalist for MLB's coveted 2025 Allan H. Selig Award for Philanthropic Excellence for the groundbreaking, celebratory and inclusive 𝐃-𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 presented by Talking Stick Resort, supported by Nike and Resolution Copper. The world’s largest Native American baseball and softball tournament has impacted over 20,000 gifted athletes and represents a $1.5 million investment to empower, inspire and engage Native American youth through the sport over the last 25 years. Fan voting to determine the winner of the 2025 Selig Award is open now through October 20 at mlbtogether.com/selig. Since 1998, this innovative fusion of culture, competition and opportunity is a model for how sports can change lives when obstacles and barriers are replaced with accessible, high-quality opportunities. The Native American youth see the D-backs Inter-Tribal Tournament as more than a game — it’s a powerful opportunity to step beyond their reservation, be part of something greater, and realize their dreams are possible and within reach. Beyond the field, the tournament provides a safe, empowering space for those facing challenges like poverty or limited opportunity — building confidence and pride that lasts long after the final out. By creating and growing this initiative, the D-backs are elevating Native athletes, strengthening families, honoring culture and sparking lasting hope across communities.
