Thank you to everyone who visited us at the Cleveland Asian Festival this past weekend! We are all #ProudToBeAsian 💚 

According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center: 🟢1 in 5 women in the U.S. experience complete or attempted rape in their lifetime. 🟢81% of women and 43% of men have reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment and/or assault. 🟢 Every 32 minutes, someone experiences intimate partner violence in the United States. These numbers represent more than statistics—they reflect the courage of survivors who have endured nonconsensual acts of violence and harassment.  At Ahimsa, we recognize the people behind these statistics and remain committed to amplifying their voices, advocating for their rights, and offering unwavering support. Through resources and tailored care, we aim to create a safe space for survivors, empowering and aiding them in their healing journey.  Join us this Give in May in supporting Ahimsa’s mission. Thank you to the Asian American Alliance student group at Case Western Reserve University for your generous donation of $773! The AAA has been hosting fundraisers since the end of 2024 to raise money for ASIA. We are incredibly touched and grateful for your dedication and hard work in sharing ASIA’s mission on campus and for everyone who donated to support refugees and immigrants in Northeast Ohio. The compassion of Northeast Ohio’s young adults is inspiring.  

Thank you to Peninsula United Methodist Church for their generous $1,190 donation to ASIA earlier this spring! We are so grateful for the neighbors who welcome refugees and immigrants with open arms and selflessness. Northeast Ohio is so full of love!

Congratulations to our final Wang Ji Thong Family Scholarship recipient of 2024, Ryan Chong! Ryan is an aspiring counseling psychologist who is currently studying at the University of Akron. We are glad to support you on your pathway to serving the community through mental health treatment, Ryan! #scholarship 

Our kids are the future. That’s why our Children, Youth, and Family services (CYF) creates a supportive and enriching environment for kids pre-K through 12th to have a space where they can be themselves and encourage their potential.   CYF helps at-risk youth learn healthy lifestyle choices and build a community of peers with our multilingual students to prevent alcohol and substance abuse. Amidst funding uncertainties, it is more important now than ever to help us reach our youth. This Give in May, help us support students in districts throughout Summit and Cuyahoga County.
