We're proud to share that Atlantic Global Risk LLC has once again fielded a team for the Pan-Mass Challenge ("PMC") - a powerful annual bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute - a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Dana-Farber is responsible for over half of the cancer drugs approved by the FDA in the past five years. This year's ride brought in ~6,500 riders, ~3,500 volunteers and has already raised ~$58 million of the $76 million target for the year. Since 1980, the PMC has raised more than $1.047 billion for Dana-Farber - with 100% of rider-raised funds going directly to the cause. This year we fielded a team of 20 riders, including riders from our underwriting partners at CFC, Euclid Transactional, and Mosaic Insurance! Each mile we ride is a tribute to the patients, families, and friends whose lives have been touched by cancer. This cause is deeply personal to many of us, and it's a privilege to be part of a movement that brings hope, healing, and progress. A heartfelt thank you to our generous insurance partner sponsors BlueChip Underwriting Services, CFC, Euclid Transactional, Fusion Specialty, Mosaic Insurance, Ryan Transactional Risk and individual underwriters Joey Juhn, CFA, William Carson, Jared L., Danielle Nieh, Jason Tomitz, Megan Quail, whose support powers not just our pedals, but the groundbreaking research that saves lives! Our Founding Partner, David Haigh, was featured in Insurance Insider US sharing Atlantic's latest market observations. David contributed analysis on the current M&A landscape, noting: "The general sentiment that 2025 will be a "blowout" year has yet to be felt. Most industry professionals think 2025 will be a good M&A year though, since the fundamentals are there, and expect volume will pick up once there is certainty on tariffs, interest rates, etc." On R&W rates, he explains that even with increased activity, rates aren't expected "to jump significantly" due to ample market capacity, though "if volumes remain high for a sustained period (more than 6-9 months) we could start seeing reasonable rate hikes, in the 3.25%-4% range." Read below and please reach out with any questions!

Are you considering a GP-led secondary transaction in 2025? Understanding the role of reps and warranties insurance could be your competitive advantage. Atlantic has partnered with William Blair Investment Banking to provide essential insights for sponsors and investors navigating this dynamic market. Please reach out to your Atlantic contacts or Ben Prebble to learn how RWI is facilitating transactions and what you should know before your next deal.
With GP-led secondaries setting records in 2024—and trendlines looking promising for 2025—secondary investors have increasingly turned to M&A-style insurance policies to facilitate their transactions. Because of the many benefits that reps and warranties insurance (“RWI”) offers, the product has quickly scaled alongside a robust GP-led market. To help educate market participants on how and when to tap the RWI market, the following article, written in conjunction with insurance broker Atlantic Global Risk LLC, outlines what secondary investors and sponsors should know. We're pleased to share our latest insights and outlook report providing a comprehensive analysis of the representations and warranties insurance market through 2024. Despite increased demand for RWI in 2024, intense competition among carriers drove premium rates to record lows. If the much-anticipated uptick in M&A activity materializes throughout 2025, we expect rates to return to their historical range of 2.75% to 3.25%. Our report examines trends in premium rates, policy limits and retentions while also discussing how carriers are responding to challenging sectors such as healthcare & life sciences. In addition, we explore evolving seller liability dynamics and the increased cover available for secondaries transactions. Access the report here: https://lnkd.in/euuQdVGM If you would like to discuss any of the topics covered in our report, or the transactional insurance market in general, please contact a member of our team.

Thank you RiskPoint Transactional Risk for hosting such a fun team event! Curling was a first for many of us, and what better way to strengthen partnerships than new activities in the icy New York winter. Insurer relationships are the key to success, here's to more events like this! David Haigh certainly regretted not wearing a hat or coat... shout out to Michael McGowan for lending a hat!
Thanks to our friends at Atlantic Global Risk LLC for braving the cold and joining us on the ice last week in NYC! It was an evening of curling, camaraderie and [friendly] competition. Looking forward to the next one!
