Atlantic Housing Foundation, founded in 1999, is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to develop and preserve quality affordable housing and related services for low and moderate income families, helping residents improve their lives. Atlantic Housing Foundation is committed to helping its residents by providing services that foster a sense of community, improve quality of life and promote personal growth and advancement. Since 2006, AHF has awarded over $17 million in academic and student housing scholarships to over 1,000 promising students in need of a more affordable education.

At this time last year, we lost our beloved friend, AHF Founder and Board Member, Dan French. He is sorely missed, but we will always be grateful for his bold, forward-thinking vision that has helped thousands of people get the housing, education and community resources they need to improve their lives. To honor Dan's legacy, AHF established Transforming Communities: The Dan French Real Estate Scholarship for students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a real estate major or related field. Recipients are awarded $5,000 per semester to be used towards tuition, books, and other education-related expenses for up to eight semesters.
