Cavern Enlargement at a Large Hydro Power Project This large Hydro Power Project in South-West Germany invested nearly USD 300 million to expand capacity through extensive tunneling and cavern enlargement. With 5,000 safe blasts, 5,700m of tunnel excavated, and over 72,800 tons of rock removed, the project overcame major technical and logistical challenges—including proximity to critical infrastructure, water ingress, and simultaneous operations across eight tunnel faces. “From the start, our reputation for safe, innovative, and precise blasting solutions was instrumental in winning the trust of the project owner and construction partners,” said Felix Degold, CTO. #HydroPower #EngineeringExcellence #BlastingInnovation

Simulated Explosion at Austin Detonator Tests Emergency Services' Readiness On August 20, Austin Detonator hosted a large-scale tactical drill with the Integrated Rescue System in Vsetín. The simulated warehouse explosion tested the readiness of firefighters, police, paramedics, and our internal emergency team. “Such drills are important not only for emergency services, but also for us as a company. They help us verify that in the event of a real accident, we can communicate quickly and effectively, protect our employees, and cooperate with the Integrated Rescue System. We have received valuable feedback and confirmation that our safety procedures work. However, we realize that we need to be constantly alert and respectful of what we work with and produce every day,” said Radim Tomíček, Safety Manager. #SafetyFirst #Teamwork #AustinDetonator

Caring for the Environment and Planting the Seeds of the Future Austin Powder proudly carried out two initiatives that reflect our values of safety, teamwork, community commitment, and environmental stewardship in Pueblo Nuevo El 7. Together with Reverté, the Municipality of Gómez Palacio, CECyTE, and the Salvador Maldonado Cultural Center, we hosted a reforestation and clean-up day. Volunteer brigades collected trash, painted sidewalks, cleared spaces, planted new trees, and distributed saplings to local families. In addition, the children’s program “My Vacation at the Library” brought together 40 children for activities including sports, arts, science, crafts, and movie mornings. The program ended with a joyful community gathering where every child took home a gift. These efforts not only protect the environment and support children’s growth but also strengthen our bonds with the communities where we live and work—building a more sustainable and united future.
