We had a fantastic turnout at this year’s Art-A-Whirl at Avivo ArtWorks' studio in NE Minneapolis! More than 1,000 visitors came through our studio, while five members led interactive art workshops, including rug tufting, wood burning, seed clay making, potato stamping (a hit with the kids), and gratitude bead making. A special thanks 32 member artists who displayed art, and to the 16 members and staff who staffed our merch table, sharing information about Avivo ArtWorks and helping showcase the incredible art available for sale. Thanks to their efforts — and our visitors’ support — we reached a new sales record!

Go Wolves! Go Frost! Avivo staff dressed to support the Minnesota Frost and the Minnesota Timberwolves in their respective playoff series! Both lost their first games - Frost in the PWHL Finals and the Wolves in the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s Western Conference Finals -- but we hope they'll bounce back tonight!

We celebrated Mother’s Day by supporting moms in Avivo’s Minnesota Family Resiliency Partnership program – complete with self-care baskets, raffles, and special prizes. Thank you to two anonymous donors for their generous contributions, and to Avivo staff for their help in gathering so many thoughtful items. Thanks to the more than 20 volunteers from Prudential Financial who assembled 180 hygiene kits with HandsOn Twin Cities to support residents of Avivo Village! May is #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, and we're proud to partner with YouthLink MN to bring not just awareness, but access, to mental health support for youth experiencing homelessness in Minneapolis. Since 2022, Avivo has had an embedded mental health therapist at YouthLink. At Avivo, we're committed to being there for young people when they need it most.
