Meet Corey — a second-year apprentice who took a different road to the trades. After graduating college with a degree in sport management and working as a recreation coordinator, Corey realized he wanted something more hands-on, at a place he could grow. Two and a half years later, he’s finishing off a $3 million project and leading other apprentices on site. That’s what happens when you bring drive, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Because at Barts Electric, opportunity isn’t handed out...it’s earned. Corey put in the work. He asked questions. And he grew into a leader faster than he ever expected. Barts Electric is where growth happens — for people who are ready to build their skills, their career, and themselves. At Barts Electric, “We Build Each Other” isn’t just a saying—it’s our culture in action. We’re incredibly proud of team members like Marli and Jackie who take initiative to grow their skills and leadership through programs like the ABC Project Management Institute. Their dedication and reflection embody what this company is all about: building each other, striving for excellence, and investing in our people
Grateful to be part of a company like Barts Electric , where the commitment to “building people” is more than just a motto—it’s something we live out every day. From August through October, I had the opportunity to attend the ABC Project Management Institute, taught by Kirk Alter, thanks to the support and investment of my team. The program was intense—long days in the classroom, assignments, reading, and reflection—but incredibly rewarding. As someone still early in my career, I walked away with new insights into the industry, other companies, and—most importantly—myself. One quote that stuck with me throughout this journey: “True greatness will be achieved through the abundant mind that works selflessly—with mutual respect, for mutual benefit.” Excited to keep growing and building what’s next. #LeadershipDevelopment #ProjectManagement #BartsElectric #ProfessionalGrowth

Not every company throws you a line — or a tow rope — on a weekday. Our paid days off at the lake are part reward, part team building, and part comedy show once the wipeouts begin. Here’s to the perks of working for a company full of folks who know how to play together. #BartsElectric #ElectricianLife #WorkHardPlayHard #LakeDay #TeamBuilding

In Florida, one of our Barts Electric crews decided to do something special this October. With permission from our Safety Directors, they swapped their usual safety vests for bright pink ones—sewing on ribbons and adding custom stickers to their vests and hard hats—all in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer has touched the lives of several on this crew, and they wanted to show their support in a way that reflects both their hearts and their hard work. Their gesture has been so inspiring that even crew members from other organizations on the job site have joined in. We’re proud of their creativity, their compassion, and the way they embody our We Build Each Other culture—on and off the job site. 💗 #BreastCancerAwareness #WeBuildEachOther #BartsElectric #PinkForACause #SafetyWithHeart #TeamBarts #CompassionInAction

When Walmart set out to build a massive meat processing facility in the Midwest, they needed a partner capable of handling a project of extraordinary scale, complexity, and importance to the nation’s food supply chain. Barts Electric was honored to answer that call. This massive facility demanded not just technical expertise, but a team of high-caliber electricians, apprentices, and leaders who thrive under pressure and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. In this video, Matt—our superintendent on the project—shares how the culture and camaraderie among our crew have been key to keeping the job on track and delivering excellence every step of the way. #BartsElectric #CommercialConstruction #PoweringWalmart #WeBuildEachOther #Electricians #ElectricalContractor #GreatPeople

At Barts Electric, we pride ourselves on building projects that communities need to thrive. That mission was on full display during a recent visit to the rural Kansas hospital project we’re powering up. Founder Bart Walker and President Wil Walker joined the crew on-site, where Wil shared a powerful reminder: our work isn’t measured only by feet of conduit or panels installed, but by the difference this hospital will make for the people it serves. #BartsElectric #Electricians #ElectricalContractor #HospitalConstruction #RuralHealthcare #Construction #RuralHospital #ColbyKansas

Less than a year ago, Colton joined Barts Electric, bringing experience from the Army Reserves, welding, and underground construction. Within months, he was entrusted to lead small excavation crews—digging into prints, setting light poles, and building the foundation for what’s above the ground. What stood out to him most wasn’t just the work. It was the way Barts makes space for growth—how leaders show up, listen, and remind everyone that if you want to move up, all you have to do is ask. Colton’s goal is to become the best electrician he can be and someday run work as a foreman or project manager here. We’re rooting for him—and for every person who’s ready to step forward, put wood in the stove, and see where this trade can take them. 🔹 Build your skills. 🔹 Build your future. 🔹 Build each other.
