Our History Bay State Bank’s roots extend back to 1895, when 114 spirited citizens of Worcester gathered together and pledged a total of $7,660 to establish a new savings bank in the city. Bay State Bank is pleased to announce the addition of James A. Ciociolo as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending Officer. James joins Bay State after building his entire career at TD, where he spent more than 15 years helping businesses across Central Massachusetts grow and succeed. His arrival marks another big win for Bay State Bank and reflects the continued momentum of the Bank’s strong commercial banking team. Having worked alongside James during their time together at TD, Anthony J. Pasquale, Chief Commercial Banking Officer, welcomed the chance to reunite as colleagues once again. “James’s deep ties to the Worcester community, combined with his extensive experience in commercial lending and his commitment to local economic development, make him an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” said Pasquale. “His insight and passion for supporting local businesses will be instrumental as we expand our commercial lending presence and strengthen partnerships across the region.” A Worcester native, James holds an MBA from Assumption University and a BSBA from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. He has also completed advanced industry training including the RMA Loan Officer Resident Seminar, RMA Commercial Real Estate Certification, Six Sigma Business Excellence (White and Yellow Belt), and TD University’s Credit Analysis Program. James is deeply engaged in the community, having served in leadership and volunteer roles with numerous local organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Worcester Economic Club and has been a member of the Worcester Young Businessmen’s Association since 2009. He previously served as a board member and finance committee member with NEADS, a board member and membership chair at Worcester Country Club, and a long-time Unified Partner and mentor with Special Olympics Massachusetts. James has also contributed his expertise as a loan committee member for the North Central MA Development Corporation, helping expand access to capital for small businesses in Central Massachusetts. “I look forward to bringing my experience, energy, and client-first approach to help local businesses and nonprofits thrive,” said James A.
