Two big announcements: I've started a small media business and I left the Journal. Let me start with the Journal, which has defined my life for the past 21 years. My overwhelming emotion since leaving this summer is gratitude. Gratitude for the people, the meaningful work that provided purpose, and the life it enabled me to live. It was a dream come true.    As for the business, it is called After Treatment. After Treatment can be found at after-treatment.com. There is a new newsletter coming every Thursday and more resources coming weekly. A special thank you to Beehiiv's Ryan Gilbert, Katherine Rundell and Elden Mirzoian for everything. There are more than 20 million cancer survivors in America today as we are getting cancer and surviving it at rates never seen before. The good news is that thousands of doctors, researchers, non-profits, for-profits, caregivers and friends are here to help survivors. The bad news is that it can be quite overwhelming to figure out what you need, what you don't and where you should get help from. Many of us don't know where to start.  My hope is that this resources website and newsletter, as well as speaking, seminars, and a book being published in 2026 will provide a guide. Over the past year, I have spoken with more than 200 survivors, doctors, researchers, financial advisers, career coaches, AI experts, CEOs and others in the hope of connecting survivors and their support networks with the resources they need.  So, if you are a cancer survivor with insight into how to help others, let's talk. If you are a company, hospital or health-care company looking to improve your services to patients, survivors and employees, let's talk.
