🎙️ We're thrilled to have Christopher Blevins in the studio today with Nat Ross recording episodes for our podcast, A New American Town! Christopher just made history this season as the first American man to win the XCO Overall title since John Tomac in 1991—and he didn't stop there. He became the first man to claim both the XCC and XCO Overall Titles in the same year, dominating the Short Track season with 7 podiums in 10 races, including an incredible 5 straight victories to start the year. As a proud partner of USA Cycling, we're honored to have world-class athletes like Christopher training in Bentonville. It's incredible to see our trails play a role in supporting the current and future generations of American cycling. Stay tuned for the full episodes where we dive into Christopher's historic season, what it means to train in Bentonville, and his journey to the top of the sport. #VisitBentonville #MountainBiking #Cycling #Bentonville #NWA #ChristopherBlevins #USACycling

Recently, the Junior-Am Fundraiser and NW Arkansas Junior Championship brought the nation’s top junior golfers to our area, a nationally recognized tournament that we’ve been proud to support for more than 13 years. Organized by the AJGA (American Junior Golf Association), the event does more than showcase elite athletes. It puts Bentonville on the national stage, draws visitors from across the country, fuels our hotels, restaurants, and attractions, and strengthens our reputation as a premier sports destination. Visit Bentonville is proud to play a role in welcoming players and families to our community. This year’s fundraiser also raised more than $5,000 for youth golf development through the AJGA Foundation and the Futures Golf Academy — an investment in the future of the game. 📸 Pictured: Kalene Griffith, Chris Sooter, tournament runner-up Emerie Schartz, and Joe Lloyd.

🎉 Breaking ground on Dave Peel Park - the newest addition to the City of Bentonville’s remarkable Quilt of Parks! Dave Peel Park is a key piece of our city's visionary Quilt of Parks initiative, which will connect six downtown parks and public spaces - including Lawrence Plaza, the Bentonville Square, Town Branch Park, The Commons, and Activity Center Park - all via the new A Street Promenade. Once complete, this multi-phased project will create an enhanced downtown experience for pedestrians and cyclists. We're proud to have contributed $1 million in tourism dollars to the Quilt of Parks project. Thank you to everyone who made this vision a reality - from city leadership to community partners who recognize that strategic park investments drive both quality of life and economic vitality. Here's to creating more spaces where memories are made and adventures begin! #BentonvilleParks #DavePeelPark #VisitBentonville #OutdoorRecreation #Arkansas #Tourism

Great conversation today with Bethanie DeRose, CDME of Hunden Partners and Kalene Griffith, CEO of Visit Bentonville, about Bentonville's Destination Master Plan during the Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce Build Bentonville Series. Bethanie and Kalene provided an overview of the vision and process, offering specific examples from other cities that have worked with Hunden Partners. Key takeaways: This 10-month collaborative process will create a 5-10 year guide for our community, focusing on tourism growth, economic development, and quality of life improvements. What stood out most was the emphasis on true partnership—residents, businesses, and organizations all have a role in shaping Bentonville's future as a premier destination.
