BILASURF meets industry at Laser World of Photonics! ⚡ 🔊 Last week, we had the pleasure of organizing our 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀 where we explored how laser-structured surfaces and biomimetic design can tackle real industrial challenges in the energy and transport sectors, with use cases provided by leading companies such as: 🔹 Windar Renovables – offshore wind 🔹 GLOBAL Hydro Energy – hydropower turbines 🔹 Aciturri – aerospace composites 🔹 Alstom – railway components 🔹 ZIEHL-ABEGG SE– Ventilation technology 🔹 GRUNDFOS – pump manufacture 🦾 We were thrilled to count on the participation of key project partners like Fusion Bionic GmbH, CEIT Centro Tecnológico, Fraunhofer IWU and ZIEHL-ABEGG SE, who are at the forefront designing this new promising laser technology, based on shark skin functionalities! 🦈 From technical discussions to 𝗝𝗮𝗺ó𝗻 & 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, the day was full of meaningful exchanges that brought researchers, engineers and industry leaders together under one goal: accelerating the adoption of sustainable surface engineering solutions across Europe. 🌍♻️ 🙏 A big thank you to all participants who joined us and actively contributed to the debate — your insights and questions made the conversations richer and more relevant.
