📢 Request for Project Proposals (RPP) Now Open The BioMaP-Consortium has released an RPP to support a new initiative: Domestic Capability Building Activity – Onshoring the Manufacturing of Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Vaccine Candidates. Currently, the U.S. lacks domestic manufacturing capability for viral hemorrhagic fever vaccines. To enhance national preparedness and strengthen response to future outbreaks, the U.S. government seeks to establish this vital capacity. This effort will include the technology transfer of existing vaccine production processes—covering both bulk drug substance and drug product activities (formulation, fill, and finish)—from international manufacturing sites to one or more U.S.-based Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs). 📝 Proposals are due Dec. 11 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Learn more and access the full RPP below.👇 https://lnkd.in/e9PYft3G #BioMaPConsortium

Today, the API Innovation Center (APIIC) released its newest publication, Cross-Sector Insights Into the Drug Supply Chain: Strengthening Domestic Resilience Through Public-Private Partnerships. This report captures insights from a closed-door roundtable convened by APIIC in August, where leaders from government, pharmaceutical manufacturing, health care systems, and retail pharmacies came together to discuss building a sustainable U.S. drug supply chain. What makes this paper unique is that it surfaces the necessary conditions for collaboration: predictable demand, transparency, long-term contracts and rewarding reliability, quality and patient care. These priorities will shape discussions at APIIC’s third annual plenary on November 5th in St. Louis, MO, where a broader cross-section of stakeholders will build on this foundation to drive actionable solutions. Thank you to all our panelists for your expertise and collaboration. Each step forward brings us closer to a stable, secure and resilient drug supply chain for our nation.
