About us

Blockaid is the onchain security platform trusted by chains, protocols, wallets, exchanges, banks, and digital asset managers to understand and secure what matters most. Our platform provides unmatched visibility from direct integrations with the most used web3 wallets, plus internet-wide monitoring that detects threats before they reach users. Not only does this give us the most comprehensive coverage of any security provider, but the more pre-transaction, onchain, offchain, and threat intelligence data our system sees, the more our models improve. This flywheel effect has made us the platform of choice for industry leaders like Coinbase, Kraken, MetaMask, Uniswap, World App, and Stellar—as well as traditional institutions and fintechs.

As the U.S. Department of the Treasury evaluates how to strengthen the nation’s defenses against illicit finance in digital assets, Blockaid was pleased to submit a detailed response to its Request for Comment on Innovative Methods to Detect Illicit Activity Involving Digital Assets. Our message was clear: “preventive cybersecurity measures, not reactive compliance frameworks, must become the foundation of financial integrity in digital assets.” We applaud the Treasury for recognizing that traditional AML and sanctions tools cannot keep pace with instant settlement, cross-chain activity, or the speed of state-sponsored threats. Our work with Coinbase, MetaMask, Stellar, Uniswap, 1inch, Kraken and more already demonstrates how prevention can be both scalable and compliant. That is why our submission called for prevention to become policy. ↓ Our recommendations focused on 5 priorities: 1. Embed prevention in policy: recognize real-time detection, simulation, and validation as core elements of AML and CFT compliance. 2. Modernize reporting: expand Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to include prevented incidents. Understanding what did not happen is as important as what did. 3. Standardize preventive technologies: develop frameworks for simulation, validation, and behavioral anomaly detection that both regulators and builders can trust. 4. Promote interoperable standards: adopt transparent, API-based frameworks that make enforcement tools accountable, explainable, and auditable. 5. Strengthen public-private collaboration: create shared databases of exploit indicators and laundering typologies to improve response times across the ecosystem. This approach is being reflected across the broader policy conversation, including a joint paper from the DeFi Education Fund, Paradigm, and the Solana Policy Institute highlighting the same evolution toward prevention. Their submission specifically referenced Blockaid as an example of how real-time prevention is already protecting users: “Many user interfaces such as Uniswap Labs, 1inch, and MetaMask use Blockaid, which alerts users to potentially malicious transactions, scams, etc., through the user interface.” As the ecosystem matures, prevention will not just be a best practice anymore, it will be the compliance standard. At Blockaid, we stand ready to partner with policymakers and regulators to make that vision a reality, ensuring the future of finance is both secure and trusted.
