Recently, we proudly hosted the third session of A Better Understanding: Building Connections Through Conversations, a discussion series from our parent company, Macy’s, Inc. The event featured a powerful opening from our CEO Olivier Bron and an inspiring talk from the team behind Café Joyeux, the first international café family dedicated to workplace inclusion for neurodivergent individuals: https://cafejoyeux.com/ Through meaningful employment, training, and community, Café Joyeux shared how they are redefining what inclusive work environments can be, and we're honored to learn from their example. Let’s keep the conversation going as we work toward creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all. #Neurodivergence #Inclusion #bInclusive

It’s Award Season at Bloomingdale’s! And we’ve been celebrating how we work, the passion we bring, and the impact we make together on our journey to be the Local Leader. At our corporate campus, Bloomingdale’s CEO Olivier Bron recognized colleagues for Dreaming Big through their leadership, collaboration, and results. Across our stores, we honored Golden B recipients for their meaningful contributions to our culture and business—each receiving a commemorative golden ‘b’ pin as a symbol of their commitment to excellence. In a similar fashion, we recognized colleagues who achieved standout results and demonstrated commitment to their customer relationships. At Bloomingdale’s, we’re proud to celebrate all we accomplish as a team. Congratulations to our honorees!

Thank you for having us Thomaï Serdari and NYU Stern Luxury & Retail MBA! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with students and alumni and share insights into the ever-evolving retail industry.

How does the market look for a #business major today? And what is the role of an MBA in the #retail sector? Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure to engage in a fireside chat with Denise Magid, Chief Merchant Bloomingdale's and Keri Taub, Chief of Strategy, Bloomingdale's and explore the question of how to build a #meaningful #career in #retail. The event offered an excellent opportunity to reconnect with fellow #alumni, network, and gain insights into the ever-evolving retail industry. We had close to 100 participants, alumni, students and friends of the NYU Stern Luxury & Retail MBA. My three takeaways from this chat were: 1. Develop your #curiosity. You can get all the hard skills in business school, go through the motions of recruiting but you also need a unique and informed point of view to impress a hiring manager. 2. Start building your #network early and keep it warm through meaningful interactions, exchanges of knowledge that helps both parties, and a genuine interest in people below, above, and across your current position. 3. A business degree, career coach, or recruiting process are as fruitful as your ability to think #creatively and explore new avenues, be it in new roles, new areas of the industry, or different areas of an organization that may present a great departure from your original targets. Stay tuned for more #events like this organized by NYU Stern Luxury & Retail MBA with the support of our #CorporateRelations, #CareerServices and #AlumniRelations at NYU Stern School of Business.
