This week, we recognized Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Diseases Awareness Day (#MCAD), a time dedicated to raising awareness and building support around mast cell diseases. This year's theme reminds us of the power of knowledge and community when living with a rare, often misunderstood disease. We are especially grateful for partnerships with organizations like The Australasian Mastocytosis Society (TAMS), who elevate patient voices and provide essential resources to support the global community. Hear from Kristin Sinclair as she reflects on the significance of this celebration and how we can carry it with us year-round.

About us
Blueprint Medicines, a Sanofi company, is a fully integrated global biopharmaceutical company that invents life-changing medicines. We seek to alleviate human suffering by solving important medical problems in two core focus areas: allergy/inflammation and oncology/hematology. Our approach begins by targeting the root causes of disease, using deep scientific knowledge in our core focus areas and drug discovery expertise across multiple therapeutic modalities. We have a proven track record of success with two approved medicines in the U.S. and Europe. Leveraging our established research, development, and commercial capability and infrastructure, we now aim to significantly scale our impact by advancing a broad pipeline of programs ranging from early science to advanced clinical trials in mast cell diseases including systemic mastocytosis and chronic urticaria, breast cancer and other solid tumors. Patients are at the center of our mission. We know that in order to make a difference in their lives, we must create an environment where our employees — also known as the Blue Crew — can do their best work. Our culture of transparency, curiosity and diversity empowers us to draw upon a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives to build a conscientious team dynamic. Ideas come from every member of the Blue Crew, from the executive team to new hires. Each day, our teams commit to approach one another with respect and trust: a simple promise that fosters an inclusive and collaborative spirit. We care deeply about the communities where we live and work, and we strive to make a profound impact where it matters most. Today, we're celebrating Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Diseases Awareness Day (#MCAD), recognizing the strength and determination of the global patient community. We were privileged to welcome one of our #ColorsofSM patient-artist duos, Vanessa and Emma, who shared how their creative partnership gave voice to Vanessa’s experience with systemic mastocytosis (SM) through a powerful work of art. They shed light on how unpredictable SM can be and how sharing your journey can be empowering, foster connection, and help others understand the reality of living with this disease. Check out how we celebrated today, including lighting our building purple to represent the mast cell disease community:

Systemic mastocytosis (SM) can have a profound impact on patients' lives, yet its symptom burden remains poorly understood around the world. To address this gap, we conducted our PRISM Survey to evaluate the SM disease burden in Europe based on perspectives from both patients and healthcare providers. The findings provide valuable insights that can support timely diagnosis and optimize disease management. As we look ahead to Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Diseases Awareness Day, we reflect on our commitment to continue raising disease awareness to improve the SM patient experience. Our dedication to mast cell disease research is driven by our goal to address critical unmet needs for patients globally. From becoming experts in the fundamental biology of the mast cell, to delivering an important medicine for systemic mastocytosis, we are now dedicated to reaching even more patients across a broader range of diseases. Watch how we’re expanding the impact of our mast cell research. #MCAD

We’ve wrapped up our 9th Annual #CoreValuesWeek! Throughout each event, we reflected on and celebrated the values that shape our culture, sparking inspiration, connection and purpose. This year’s theme, Be the Blueprint, reminded us of the responsibility we each carry to lead by example and make an impact for people, patients and communities we serve. Hear from Brittany Carroll, Lawrence Drew, EMBA and Rizwana Seeham for a #BlueCrew POV on what this theme means to them:

The work we do beyond our walls holds equal importance to the work we do within them. During #CoreValuesWeek, our #BlueCrew teams around the world came together to give back to local communities, partnering with incredible organizations like Boston Cares, Catie's Closet, Inc, SuitUp Incorporated, Association IM'PACTES, Velafrica, Labdoo.org and Fundación Altius. Check out some highlights from our day of service:

Our #CoreValuesWeek Patient-Centered Event was a powerful opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring patient access to innovation. We learned about ways we have enabled access pathways, Sanofi’s global humanitarian efforts, and how we are working to reach patients further, faster. Thank you to our #BlueCrew experts for sharing patient stories, and to Bonnie Anderson Hill, Head of Rare Humanitarian Programs at Sanofi, for joining us!
