  • Today, as our community gathers to celebrate the life of LendingTree Chairman and CEO Doug Lebda, we at Blumenthal Arts join in honoring a leader whose impact will continue to be felt across Charlotte and beyond. Doug’s generosity and belief in the power of the arts helped shape our work in countless ways. As a past member of the Blumenthal Arts Board, he championed creativity and innovation. From heartily supporting our expansion into immersive experiences to investing in projects like The Wiz that brought new energy to the national stage. His support of the arts was also deeply personal: his daughter Rachel took part in the Blumey Awards as a student stage manager, and his wife Megan continues to serve on our Board with the same spirit of care that Doug modeled. We are profoundly grateful for Doug’s leadership, his friendship, and his lasting contributions to Blumenthal Arts and the greater Charlotte community.

  • #TBT Throwing it back to the sensational Witches’ Night Off benefit at our Booth Playhouse last week that raised $42,000 for Rain and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS! Bravo to the company of Wicked for working their magic to make this happen and special thanks to the show’s Company Manager and event emcee Steve Quinn! #DidYouKnow This was Munchkinland’s 45th cabaret benefit and their fourth in Charlotte (more than any other city) – the very city where Witches’ Night Off was born back in 2010!

  • Investing in educators means investing in our community.   At Blumenthal Arts, we believe that every student deserves the chance to step onto a stage, discover their voice and grow through the power of the performing arts. That’s why supporting educators is at the heart of our mission.   We’re actively raising funds to provide ShowKits to schools across our region. With these kits, any teacher, whether an experienced arts educator or a passionate math teacher, has the tools and confidence to bring a musical production to life.   Thanks to a $15,000 gift from Wells Fargo and another $5,000+ from our community of ticket buyers and supporters, we’re close to our $25,000 goal. Reaching it will ensure every eligible school has access to these resources.   Perhaps the sweetest part of the effort is seeing the power of these gifts in action. Schools which utilize ShowKits are eligible to participate in Blumenthal’s Junior Theater Celebration where they can showcase their work on a Broadway stage and get real-time feedback from the iTheatrics team, one of the entities that creates these ShowKits.   If you know someone who would like to help us close the gap, visit: BlumenthalArts.org/Impact

  • “To see this level of excitement and demand before the show has even opened is truly remarkable. It’s a testament not only to the obvious artistry of this production, but also to the growing reputation of Blume Studios and Blumenthal Arts as a place where innovation and imagination thrive.” – Blumenthal Arts President Tom Gabbard Blume Studios, Blumenthal Arts’ newest destination for immersive entertainment that recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, today announced that their newest show, The Magicians Table, has been extended by popular demand five weeks in advance of its North American premiere in Charlotte.   Originally slated to run from Nov. 19, 2025 to Jan. 11, 2026, this exciting table-side close-up magic experience direct from London has been extended through Feb. 15, 2026. • Blumenthal Arts’ Founders Room has a new look, and it is redefining the donor experience. This refreshed lounge is where community and creativity meet. Supporters gather here to relax, network and celebrate the arts before a show and at intermission. They can grab a premium cocktail, enjoy complementary snacks and they don’t have to wait in a long line to use the restroom. Access is a benefit of Blumenthal Arts Membership or can be enjoyed with a one-time Access Pass, which is perfect for guests joining us for a single performance. As an organization we continue to evolve to meet our supporters where they are and with the VIP experiences they want. This is just one example, and here is where you can learn more: https://lnkd.in/gqnYM4aU

A full year of being Nimble, Scrappy, and Highly Creative! We are celebrating the One-Year Anniversary of Blume Studios by looking back at all the creative ways we’ve activated this warehouse in the heart of Charlotte’s The Iron District. One visit here and you’ll experience the power of immersive arts experiences! The possibilities in this 32,000 square foot community space are truly endless. Already we’ve shared trips to outer space with SPACE EXPLORERS: The Infinite and gone back in time to childhood with MONOPOLY LIFESIZED: Travel Edition. We’ve collaborated with many community partners, displayed the work of local artists, hosted game nights and dance parties, and (not to brag but) we have some of the most creative cocktails in town at our bar. As the Iron District continues to grow into the multi-use destination that connects Uptown Charlotte and the South End neighborhood, we are honored to be the first tenant and our city’s cultural catalyst. Year two of Blume Studios is going to be even bigger and we can’t wait to show you what’s next! The Path Entertainment Group Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company

The joy of a good conversation over dinner! Blumenthal Arts President and CEO Tom Gabbard and his wife Vickie hosted a small group of supporters at Dressler’s in Midtown tonight. At these dinners with the President, guests are first to hear about the newest initiatives underway at all of our venues, they get behind the scenes stories, and no question is off the table - Tom answers it all! Grateful to Jon Dressler and his entire team for delicious food, impeccable service, and for supporting the arts as a Blumenthal partner.
