It is not uncommon to question the difference between the role of the EDC (or any EDC) and the role of a Chamber of Commerce. We are lucky in our community that we have such a collaborative relationship between both the Boerne and Comfort Chambers of Commerce. If you've got questions, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask! #fortheloveofkendallcounty #edc #chamberofcommerce #econdev

The BKCEDC leadership is worth celebrating. These dedicated individuals are committed to the mission of the BKCEDC which is to promote business opportunities that will strengthen and grow a vibrant and diverse economic future for Kendall County. Dakota Durden is the CEO and Lead Designer of GRIT Co. , which was established in 2012. He has been a force in the commercial, luxury residential and millwork industry for decades. He's led over $300 million in projects. Dakota has been a volunteer and leader in many community organizations, from the AGC and AIA to the YMCA and to Youth Football and Baseball where he's coached kids for over 12 years. He was the co-chair of the Comfort ISD Planning Committee, where he led an effort that resulted in a strong 2 to 1 approval of the single largest bond in CISD history. Dakota was asked if had to choose the office or something else, what would he choose? His answer was that he'd rather be working in GRIT Co's millwork shop, coaching kids, or working the family ranch and vineyard at Ranch Rose. #leadership #fortheloveofkendallcounty
