One robot can dance. Two robots can put on a show. With just a few practice runs (and some long nights), we were able to create a little magic for the kids at Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. This routine came together in just three late-night sessions after putting my human kids to bed. I wanted to give the kids something memorable—and maybe challenge myself a bit too. The kids absolutely loved it, and seeing the joy it’s bringing here made those long nights totally worth it. Rivet and Astro are from Boston Dynamics and usually spend their time inspecting critical equipment and infrastructure around our facility. They took a quick break to dance for the kids and were programmed using Boston Dynamics’ Choreographer software.
