  • On this World Homeless Day, we hope you'll take a moment to imagine being in the shoes of our patients and consider how being unhoused might impact your everyday life – the struggle to find safe shelter, hot meals, a place to shower and use bathrooms, and so on. Each day, our patients bravely face these challenging circumstances, and with the help of others, including their unhoused peers, they take the steps needed to transform their lives. At BHCHP, we feel honored to play a part in our patients’ life-changing journeys, and we’re fortunate to witness these transformations, big and small, every single day. We hope you realize the role you play as well in our critical mission: to assure or provide access to the highest quality health care for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Boston. Thank you for being a valued member of our community – for extending your care and support beyond your immediate circle to reach those who need it most.

  • Are you in need of some positive news today? We’ve got your back! As part of our #40Years40Voices social media campaign, do check out this inspiring story of Marcia Smith-Hutton, a Brookline concert pianist turned social worker who left a moving bequest gift to BHCHP. Marcia was born blind from birth but that didn’t stop her from living a life full of adventure, joy, and connection. We’re deeply grateful to Marcia for her generous gift to BHCHP and we’ll proudly carry forward her legacy of care and compassion. • We couldn’t have asked for a better way to mark Sox for Socks’ 20th anniversary this year! Our staff and volunteers were at Fenway Park earlier this month collecting socks during the Red Sox sweep of the Astros. To everyone who came with socks and donated cash during the games at our tables, we applaud your generous spirit and continued support to help our patients live with comfort, dignity and health. A special shoutout to our incredible partners, the Red Sox Foundation, NESN, and Gentle Giant Moving Company, for their longstanding dedication to BHCHP’s mission to provide high quality health care to people experiencing homelessness in Boston. This beloved sock drive is 20 years strong because of you – we're immensely grateful and proud of this effort! If you’d still like to donate to help us purchase socks for our patients, please click here. Every single dollar makes a big impact: https://bit.ly/46Z31tt
