Last week, our Community Engagement and Geriatrics teams were proud to join La Alianza Hispana’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, which honored the rich cultures and contributions of Hispanic Americans through performances, speakers, and more. Our Geriatrics team offered flu shots, while the WellSense Health Plan team added to the celebration with gift baskets and food. BMC’s participation in community events like this reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding access to care in Boston and beyond while honoring the individuality and heritage of our patients.

Thanks for hitting the road to fight food insecurity with BMC! On Sunday, a team of dedicated walkers and bikers participated in the Ride for Food (Three Squares New England), raising funds for BMC programs that are keeping families fed. At BMC, we know food is medicine. Funds from the Ride for Food support our hospital-based food pantry, Teaching Kitchen, two rooftop farms, and more. Because of those who donated and participated, we can keep plates full and families healthy. Fundraising remains open through November 30 — make a donation to this critical work: https://bit.ly/45L5Ex3
