  • What is a shell and tube heat exchanger? In simple terms, a heat exchanger is a device that transfers heat from one fluid to another without the fluids mixing. In our case, the design consists of a series of tubes (the “tube bundle”) enclosed in a shell. One fluid flows through the tubes, while another flows around them within the shell, allowing heat to transfer efficiently between the two. You’ve likely seen heat exchangers in action without even realizing it. Car radiators, for example, use coolant to absorb heat from the engine and release it into the air. It’s a cost-effective and energy-efficient method for heating or cooling fluids. At Brask, Inc., we serve the petroleum and petrochemical industries, where our custom-built exchangers are critical components in refining processes across the U.S. With over 200 years of combined experience on our team, our commitment to quality and service is what sets us apart.

  • Our customers know us for precision, reliability, and deep expertise in shell and tube heat exchanger design, manufacturing, and repair. But over time, one request kept coming up: “Can Brask, Inc. handle the cleaning too?” Turnarounds often require equipment to be sent to multiple vendors- adding time, risk, and complexity. Our clients wanted a cleaner, more efficient option. They wanted Brask, Inc. to bring the same level of quality and care to cleaning that we already bring to everything else. So, we’re doing exactly that. Coming in late 2025, we are adding Brask, Inc. - HDNA, our cleaning and inspection facility, to our Brask, Inc. - Neela location in Pearland, TX. It’s designed to support heat exchanger turnarounds with a full range of services under one roof. As our additional facility is becoming ready to service our customers, we are reflecting on the HDNA topping-off ceremony from last year. Our team, friends, and families gathered to sign a beam in the new facility, a small moment that reflects how far we’ve come and what we’re building next. Once complete, HDNA will offer: • Door to Door Pick-up and Drop-Off Transportation • Custom Cleaning Using High-Pressure Water, Abrasive Grit Blast, and Chemical Methods • Visual Inspection Reports on All Jobs • Tube Wall Loss Inspection– Eddy Current and IRIS Available • NBIC, ASME, API-510 Repairs In-House • Real-time Job Status Tracking • EPA / TCEQ Approved Water Reuse and Zero Waste Discharge Practices By listening to our customers, we’re continuing to grow with the same focus on performance, safety, and service that’s defined us from the start. 📍 Opening Q3/Q4 2025 📩 For more details or early inquiries, reach out. We’re here to help.

  • By 2011, our work at Brask, Inc. – IEE had earned the trust of clients across the industry. But for many of our customers, there was still a challenge: they wanted IEE’s expertise — just closer to home. Located in Sulphur, Louisiana, Brask, Inc. - IEE was the heart of our operations — a place where we built deep expertise, strong relationships, and a stellar reputation. But for our Greater Houston clients, the distance made it harder to get quick, hands-on support, especially for time-sensitive projects and turnaround work. So, when one of our customers asked if we could open a facility closer to Houston, we got to work. That request led to the opening of Brask, Inc. – Neela in Pearland, TX — a fully equipped, duplicate facility to our Sulphur plant. Strategically located near the Houston Ship Channel, Brask, Inc. - Neela instantly became a center-point for our Gulf Coast customers and a natural extension of IEE’s legacy. This wasn’t just about expanding our footprint — it was about removing barriers. It was about making it easier for our customers to access the expertise they relied on and getting them faster solutions when they needed them most. With Brask, Inc. - Neela, we gained the ability to respond to turnarounds, emergency repairs, ASME code modifications, new bundles, retubes, and consulting — all while still leveraging the knowledge and strength of Brask, Inc. - IEE. We’re proud of what Brask, Inc. - Neela has become — not just a second site, but another pillar of our company built on the same foundation of service, quality, and relationships that Brask, Inc. was founded on.

  • In 1999, Brask, Inc. took its first big step by acquiring Industrial Equipment & Engineering (IEE), a company rooted in upstream work. But that was just the start of something much bigger. Under the leadership of our founder and CEO, Bal K. Sareen, we brought in decades of experience with shell and tube heat exchangers. We also brought a new vision: to focus on the downstream industry, and build a company grounded in design, manufacturing, and repair excellence. As the company grew in the early 2000s, we began marketing under the name of Brask, Inc. DBA Industrial Equipment & Engineering. In the year 2003, we broke ground on a brand-new facility in Sulphur, Louisiana. In 2007, management decided to unify the company as Brask, inc. – IEE to capture the rich heritage of both companies. From the start, Brask has been family-owned, people-focused, and relationship-driven. We’re proud to be a minority-owned business that values trust, craftsmanship, and community. That spirit lives on in IEE. It’s where our journey took shape — and where we became known as The Heat Exchanger People®. We’ve earned that name by supporting the full lifecycle of a heat exchanger — from cradle to grave— with unmatched care, precision, and pride.
