Charity working to advance nutritional care of patients & those at risk of malnutrition in all care settings & community
About us
BAPEN is a Charitable Association that raises awareness of malnutrition and works to advance the nutritional care of patients and those at risk from malnutrition in the wider community. BAPEN works with all stakeholders, including patients and professionals, healthcare commissioners and providers at local, regional and national levels, and industry to help ensure good nutritional care is delivered. Founded in 1992, BAPEN is multi-disciplinary – bringing together dietitians, doctors, nurses, pharmacists and patients, all of whom are committed to improving nutritional care. BAPEN’s vision is for every individual to receive safe, timely and appropriate nutritional care in every care setting, every day. We provide educational resources and guidance, nutritional screening tools for use in various settings, nutritional news and updates, and an Annual Conference. We also run UK Malnutrition Awareness Week alongside the Malnutrition Task Force.
