✨ THESIS SPOTLIGHT ✨ Our Advanced Measurements thesis began as a rather extensive exercise in market mapping manufacturers of highly engineered products in numerous end-markets and applications. We have a history of investing in manufacturers and distributors of products around building automation, so we aimed to expand our IP into other applications where highly engineered products were critical to quality, regulatory compliance, and/or safety (or all three!). Through our filtering process, we created more conviction on building a platform of manufacturers of sensors and instruments that were designed to extract and measure data points in critical environments or applications. We believe the products themselves have a lot of commercial attachment points, such as calibration services and ongoing monitoring, that can be turbocharged. As data capture becomes more valuable to end-users, we think these products have real growth potential. It’d be audacious to say we’re building a little Danaher, but that’s where we sourced much of our inspiration for the Advanced Measurements thesis! National Safety Month is a reminder of the critical role Fire & Life Safety and Environmental Health & Safety services play in protecting people and businesses.
