The milestone clears the way for Cove Pointe at Bayfront – a new West Side neighborhood designed around walkability, transit access and community living, in line with the city’s vision for a more connected and equitable district with housing, parks, retail and shared amenities. The second phase will introduce a 13-storey residential building delivering 380 new homes, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. The development includes 20% affordable homes with an additional 15% dedicated to workforce housing, supporting greater accessibility across income groups. Plans also feature a 235-space parking structure, nearly 7,000 sq ft of retail, a landscaped courtyard and an amenity roof deck. Architecturally, the building blends glazing and brick with articulated panels and subtle corten-inspired detailing for a contemporary urban identity. The project is being developed for BRP Companies, with Stonefield Flavours Engineering & Design leading civil engineering and Connell Foley LLP providing legal services, as Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners continues to shape the transformation of Jersey City’s Bayfront into a vibrant waterfront destination.
