In the fast-evolving data center landscape, strategic due diligence is no longer a box-ticking exercise, it’s a competitive advantage. https://lnkd.in/eASnY7pn As developers face mounting pressure from grid constraints, environmental regulations, and shifting planning frameworks, the depth and precision of their due diligence can determine whether a project succeeds or stalls. Securing reliable grid capacity is now a defining challenge, especially in high-demand areas like West London, where connection queues now stretch for a decade or more, creating a level of project risk that few investors find acceptable. Environmental and title risks also demand early, expert intervention to avoid costly delays. Recent planning reforms and the UK’s designation of data centers as Critical National Infrastructure offer new opportunities but require a more rigorous and strategic approach. Beyond planning, long-term success hinges on power supply agreements that balance cost, resilience, and ESG impact. Due diligence has moved from the back office to the boardroom. Read the full article to explore how strategic due diligence can secure your competitive edge. #DataCenters #Hyperscale #DigitalInfrastructure

Saudi Arabia is set to introduce another e-government solution to simplify the process for employees in Saudi Arabia to claim and recover unpaid wages from their employers. https://lnkd.in/eJyPsajc Through its Najiz portal, employees whose wages remain unpaid for 30 days (or partially paid after 90 days) can now initiate enforcement directly, bypassing many administrative hurdles. This development is being rolled out in three phases: 1. Phase I – starting now to all new Qiwa contracts 2. Phase II – from March 2026 to all renewed fixed-term Qiwa contracts 3. Phase III – from August 2026 to all indefinite Qiwa contracts Read more about this update and its implications at the link. #EmploymentLaw #HR #SaudiArabia

In a recent Law360 article, our Partner Katherine Pope shared her perspective on the UK government's decision to rule out the re-introduction of employment tribunal fees. https://lnkd.in/errbW9z3 The move has reignited debate over how the already under-pressure system will be supported. Katherine noted that while Justice Secretary David Lammy presented the decision as a matter of principle, the government's volte-face might equally be a pragmatic choice to avoid the cost of implementing and running a fees-based system. She added that "the revenue from a £55 fee would be modest, and opposing it avoids potential friction with union leaders." Want to read the full story and Katherine’s insights?
