Significant changes may be on the horizon for US patent law. https://lnkd.in/ev-8KTRn   The United States Patent and Trademark Office has proposed new rules that would curtail the ability to challenge issued patents before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.   Partner Scott W. Cummings recently authored an alert, taking a deep dive into the proposed changes, noting that clients may need to adjust to these proposed changes in the near future, and develop new strategies in future patent litigation and freedom to operate matters.   The PTAB looks at the validity of some of the most valuable patents involved in litigation through a highly specialized review process created in 2012.   #PatentLaw #Trademarks
