Honored to revisit the Bubble Immerse program today, this time as an Alum and Founder, sharing the five toughest lessons from my entrepreneurial journey. Reflecting on my years post-Immerse for a single presentation was profound. It highlighted the depth of my learning, embracing both the positives and the challenges. Above all, it reaffirmed a fundamental truth: the founder's path is inherently about people. While the startup world may seem like a solo battle, it's truly a hub of generosity and backing. Immerse acted as the pivotal force propelling me forward, empowering me to transform my vision into a reality, culminating in my own MVP. These spaces not only validate ideas but also validate the dreamers behind them. A heartfelt gratitude to founders Emmanuеl Straschnοv and Josh Haas, Nichole Bestman, and Monica Yoonfor providing dreamers like myself, with the platform to thrive. Special appreciation to the inspiring women in the current cohort, pioneering innovations in the AI realm for the greater good. Katie Kirk, Kim Cinco, Erica N Terry, Quinn P Cummings, Stephanie LaScala-Lodato Let's embrace vulnerability and the courage to share our "failures with purpose" as the authentic drivers of community progress. One of my biggest failures as founder of Wuufy wasn't making a wrong strategic bet. It was the moment a customer expected me to save their dying pet over a video call. We were hustling. After a big TV interview, we advertised "expert vet telemedicine consults." A non-paying user with a free trial called in, dog in crisis. My vet urged an immediate physical visit—but the user was furious. He insisted we treat the pet online, "like the TV said we did." The brutal truth? Our marketing had created an Expectation Gap we could not ethically or physically fulfill. The message was wrong. The Lesson: If your service can't deliver on the promise you make, it’s not a business failure; it’s a communication failure.
