Fern Docs are now better for AI Agents with: • llms.txt support for OpenAPI spec endpoints • Automatic Markdown serving to LLMs • Analytics showing which AI tools are accessing your docs https://lnkd.in/eTCm9GFF "Fern helped us future-proof our docs. With llms.txt, AI agents can crawl and understand every API endpoint without my team doing any duplicative work. What used to be a nice-to-have is the new standard for modern developer experiences." - Erin Nielsen, Senior Technical Writer at Cash App #llmstxt #DeveloperExperience #DevTools #APIs #AIEngineering #APIDocumentation

My 5 Beliefs for Company Offsites || 📸 from Fern's Fall 2025 Offsite 1/ 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. The 5-hour drive from our office in Brooklyn to Lake Placid in Upstate New York was part of the bonding. 2/ 𝐆𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲. Three nights is the sweet spot. Long enough to feel immersed, short enough that everyone gets a full weekend afterward. 3/ 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞. Each dinner, we went around the table and answered a prompt, including: - What's an aspiration you have in life (big or small)? - What's something you've learned about someone else on this trip? - Where's a place that feels like home? 4/ 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧. An offsite should feel like a reward for working hard on behalf of customers. All expenses paid is the way to do it. 5/ 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐢𝐭. Plan ahead by making branded merch and coordinating a group photoshoot. Check out the highlights! --- Shoutout to: - Nowadays (YC S23) thanks for planning the trip - Openhouse for the custom apparel

Had a great time working with the team at Fern (Danny Sheridan & Catherine Deskur) as they built out their AI-powered developer platform, with security and speed front and center. Using Auth0 + Amazon Web Services (AWS), Fern shipped secure identity in just 7 days - fully integrated with their AWS stack, including CloudWatch, custom logging, and most importantly, Amazon Bedrock. Their AI assistant (“Ask Fern”) runs on AWS Bedrock, and pairing that with Auth0 made it easy to manage identity and access across users and services, without slowing down the dev team or compromising on control. This was a great example of Auth0 + AWS working together: fast to implement, secure by design, and deeply integrated. 👏 Massive kudos to the Fern team, : smart, focused, and awesome to work with. 📖 Full story here: https://lnkd.in/gyYeQXsN Mark Brindley Bryson Tillinghast Mike Marcus Michelle Young Janis Shearer, CMP, CIPP/E, MBA Josh Greene Jack Seeger Teshia O'Keefe Henry Sotomayor Jon Seton Luis Gamez, "LG" Mark Shephard Katie Moor ☁ Wayne Smiley (CISSP) Jason P. Here’s what changed after switching to Fern: 1. A product switcher that is native to the docs-as-code experience 2. Product-specific changelogs with clearer headlines 3. Cleaner developer experience with product-specific filtering 4. Automatic SDK generation and publishing #DeveloperExperience #DevTools #APIs

Our new developer laws in the AI era are out now ✨ Software is being rewritten for a world where AI agents and human developers are simultaneously end users and collaborators. Old patterns from the traditional SaaS era are being replaced by new realities in pricing, product design, and what it means to build defensible developer businesses. Twelve years after publishing our original developer laws and six years after publishing our v1 amendments, we’re attempting to redraft and contextualize our developer laws in the AI paradigm. These rules may be a work in progress, but still, they are the v2 amendments for building developer platforms in a landscape shaped by AI agents. What do you think? Drop your comments below. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗦𝗗𝗞 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 Instantly generate a production-ready Swift SDK from your API spec — with zero dependencies, async/await support, and Swift code that feels handwritten. Built for the Apple ecosystem (iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS) to help developers integrate faster. “Fern nailed the details — namespacing, typing and nullables, async/await, and refreshable auth. The developer experience is fantastic,” said Aaron Carver, CTO at chrt. Read more: https://lnkd.in/e4ttWGJ2 #sdkgenerator #apigenerator #api

SDKs and docs are more than references - they shape how developers and even agents interact with your API. In this video, Fern's Danny Sheridan and Deep Singhvi show us how they generate SDKs and developer documentation directly from API specifications, and why they chose Auth0 as their identity and access management provider. You’ll learn: 🔵 How agentic experiences rely on high quality SDKs and docs 🔵 Fern’s approach to improving productivity across the API lifecycle 🔵 Why Auth0 provides the security and scale needed for modern identity 🔵 A live demo from Fern’s leadership team showing the integration in action Watch the full video and see how developer experience and agent experience come together. https://bit.ly/3VjKEZq #AIAgents #DeveloperExperience #IdentitySecurity #Auth0 #APIs

Stoked to see Fern named THE BEST Modern Documentation Platform in 2025 by Nordic APIs! > The reason I believe Fern wins today is because of the breadth of protocol support, the breadth of supported languages, the many callouts for dedicated enterprise support. Appreciate the deep-dive evaluation conducted by Andrew DiMola and Bill Doerrfeld https://lnkd.in/gcQ_jpJD
