Looking back — and moving Forward: The RPD 35 It’s been over two years since Built Robotics announced the RPD 35 — the world’s first fully autonomous piling system at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. When the RPD 35 launched in March 2023, it marked a major shift: bringing autonomy to a task that’s long been manual, repetitive, and high-risk. Since then, the solar industry has only accelerated. Projects are scaling. Tracker tolerances are tightening. And the demand for precision, speed, and quality has never been higher. The RPD 35 was designed with those challenges in mind. It combines surveying, pile distribution, pile driving, and data collection into one autonomous machine. It’s been deployed on jobsites across the U.S., installing thousands of piles with consistent depth and alignment — even on uneven terrain. Today, the RPD 35 works alongside the RPS 25 to deliver a fully integrated robotics-first approach to utility-scale solar foundation installation. 📸 Photos below were taken at our research facility in 2024. #BuiltRobotics #Robotsforthesolarrevolution #RPD35 #solar #contech

“Texas will lead deployments with 11.6 GW of new solar, representing nearly 36% of all additions. California follows with 2.9 GW.” — John Fitzgerald Weaver, citing the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Utility-scale solar is expanding rapidly, particularly in high-growth states like Texas and California. As the industry scales, the focus is on optimizing speed, safety, and efficiency in the deployment process. Autonomous machinery is emerging as a key solution. It helps the industry build smarter — delivering projects faster, more safely, and more efficiently, while keeping costs down. As the energy transition accelerates, innovation across every stage of the process will be essential. 📰 Read the full article via pv magazine USA: https://bit.ly/4jF9BIC #BuiltRobotics #Solar #AutonomousRobots #EnergyTransition #RenewableEnergy
