Great conversation last night with Alexander Hitchcock about building products for the unique speed and pressure of modern campaigns. We covered a lot of ground, but three things that really stuck with me from our discussion: 1️⃣ Media fragmentation is only getting more intense. For years, we've watched the media landscape splinter, and now, decisionmakers and voters watch, stream, and read on more screens and platforms than ever. As a result, the old playbook for communication is less and less reliable. 2️⃣ Tools and tech have become table stakes for modern communicators. Communicators can't afford to guess OR to wait. They need tools that help them find the right audience, deliver the right message, and measure what’s actually working. Alex and I both come from working on political persuasion campaigns - we’ve seen in real-time how critical it is to have data that shows you what truly persuades people. 3️⃣ Even with the hype, AI will accelerate all of the above. As over-hyped as it can feel, AI is already helping us move faster, scale up expertise, and if used thoughtfully, can even serve as a check on our own biases. At this early stage, there's no substitute for getting your hands dirty with these tools to figure out what's effective. Huge thanks to the entire Nexxen team—especially Kara for moderating the discussion and Kory for bringing us all together.
