  • A fresh start is taking shape at 1611 Towne Drive. Our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) facility helps adults with ongoing mental health needs gain skills for independent living while receiving 24-hour behavioral health support. “The people that come here, they’ve been through so much,” said Program Director Brenna Ishler. “It really will be life-changing for the people who live and receive treatment here.” KOMU 8 & Mid-Missouri CW takes you inside the space and shares how the program helps fill a major need in our community. 📺 Watch the full story: https://bit.ly/4nJWoRz

  • World Mental Health Day lands on the calendar once a year, but our teams devote themselves to mental health advocacy and care every single day because mental health touches every home, classroom, workplace, and neighborhood around the world. When we care for one another, we build stronger, more hopeful communities. What’s one small way you’ll care for your mental health, or someone else’s, today?

  • Depression doesn’t always look like sadness. It can show up as fatigue, irritability, physical pain, trouble focusing, or just feeling off in ways you can’t explain. Today is National Depression Screening Day, a reminder that checking in on your mental health is just as important as any other part of your health. A screening can help you understand whether what you're feeling is depression—or something else—and what kind of support might help. Like other basic health screenings, it's a simple step that provides more information, clarity, and options. 📝 Find a simple depression screening at the link in our comments, and share this post to help others understand that mental health deserves the same care and attention as any other part of health

  • For those living with a mental health condition, life can feel like carrying an extra weight that others don’t see. Some days it’s heavy, some days lighter, but it’s always there. During Mental Illness Awareness Week, we want everyone walking this path to know that they’re not alone. 💚 Connect with us in the comments: What’s one thing, big or small, that helps you feel supported on hard days?

  • Living with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) means carrying both challenges and strengths that aren’t always visible: 🧠 Forgetting things that matter, but also noticing details others overlook ⏰ Struggling with time, but also finding deep creative flow 💔 Feeling rejection more sharply, but also offering fierce empathy 🎯 Losing focus easily, but also hyperfocusing with persistence and creativity ADHD isn’t something to “fix.” It’s a different way of moving through the world. To everyone navigating ADHD: your challenges are real, and your contributions matter. ✨ During ADHD Awareness Month, we’d love to hear: What’s one strategy, perspective, or bit of understanding that helps you, or someone you care about, thrive with ADHD?

  • Meet Ashley Geiger, PLPC, one of the dedicated therapists at our Ash Street Clinic in Columbia. “I enjoy helping the client connect how their ‘then and there’ (past) affects their ‘here and now’ (present). I bring a warm, open, and curious approach to exploring my clients' histories to better understand their behaviors today, and help them to make effective changes.” Therapy is more than addressing what’s happening in the moment. It’s about understanding the story that brought you here. Ashley creates a supportive space for that exploration, helping clients make meaningful connections and lasting changes. If you’re in Colombia and wondering if therapy could help, you don’t have to walk through the process alone. We’re here when you’re ready.

  • Recovery from Substance Use Disorder is as individual as a fingerprint—no two stories are alike. 💜 One truth shows up again and again: connection matters. A friend’s encouragement, a family member’s support, and peers who understand lived experience are the sparks that keep recovery going. National Recovery Month is an opportunity to honor these stories and affirm that no one has to walk this road alone. ✨ Who has been a light in your recovery, or whose journey has inspired you? Please share in the comments to help us celebrate how connection supports recovery!
