Sentiment is worse than reality in commercial real estate. Premier workplaces continue to outperform. Office usage in key cities continues to increase as CEOs offer high quality, well-amenitized, and well-located workplaces as an incentive for their employees to come together to collaborate and grow. BXP, Inc. Chairman & CEO Owen Thomas joined David Westin on Bloomberg’s Wall Street Week to discuss. #RealEstate #CEOInsight #CRE

It’s no longer just about prime square footage or sweeping views. Today’s premier workplace environments are centered around creating experiences and building community at the street level. At BXP, we strive to create vibrant destinations that enhance the daily experiences of both our clients and the surrounding communities. From Reston Town Center in Northern Virginia, where six new leases bring a dynamic mix of retail and culinary experiences, to The Hugh in Midtown Manhattan, which recently welcomed four new restaurants, we're curating environments that foster connection and well-being. On the West Coast, the acclaimed California-Italian restaurant Cosetta opened an exceptional dining experience at Santa Monica Business Park (SMBP). These additions underscore our commitment to creating lively, amenity-rich ecosystems that go beyond traditional office boundaries.

2025 Power 100 List: #8 — Owen D. Thomas (Chairman and CEO), Douglas Linde (President and Director) and Hilary Spann (Executive Vice President for New York Region) at BXP, Inc. "Overall, I would say New York — and the company — did almost as well [in 2024] as they did in 2019, which is to say that the market and BXP delivered leasing performance that was consistent with pre-COVID levels of leasing — which is fantastic." — Hilary Spann.
