Low-collateral counter-drone ammunition tested at Falcon Peak Slow Shot LLC successfully demonstrated a low-collateral-damage counter-small-UAS (C-sUAS) capability during the Falcon Peak 25.2 event at Eglin Air Force Base, and is reportedly planning to scale production after reaching a technology readiness level appropriate for field trials. The technology employs drag effects to reduce munition speed and is reportedly designed to keep the level of authorization required to use it as low as possible. #CounterUAS #Drones #FalconPeak #Munition #DefenseTechnology #LowCollateral https://lnkd.in/eR7igxbq

DroneShield adds ADS-B integration to DroneSentry C2 platform DroneShield has integrated Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast (ADS-B) data into its DroneSentry-C2 platform, broadening its command-and-control system’s ability to distinguish between crewed and uncrewed aircraft in shared airspace. The company said the update allows operators to fuse conventional aviation surveillance with counter-drone detection data, improving situational awareness and reducing the risk of misidentifying legitimate aircraft as drone threats. #CounterUAS #AirspaceAwareness #Drones #C2 #Technology https://lnkd.in/e9uPwket

Rohde & Schwarz partners with TRUMPF on European-made laser C-UAS Rohde & Schwarz and TRUMPF have announced a partnership to jointly develop a domestically produced counter-drone system that integrates radar sensing and high-energy laser technology to detect, track and neutralize unauthorized drones. The collaboration, unveiled this week, combines Rohde & Schwarz’s experience in electronic systems and radar-based drone detection with TRUMPF’s expertise in industrial laser manufacturing. The companies say the system will provide a “sovereign solution” for defending critical infrastructure and sensitive sites against unmanned aerial threats. #CounterUAS #Drones #Laser #DirectedEnergy #DefenseTechnology https://lnkd.in/eHmTBxKn

🛡️ The importance of a layered, interoperable defense against drones Any of us who have attended a counter-UAS conference have likely heard that "there is no silver bullet." At Counter-UAS Homeland Security Europe, this theme kept coming up, with speakers stressing that no single system can counter the drone threat. Radar, RF, EO/IR, cyber or acoustic each has strengths and limits, and these are options for detection alone. Interoperability and real-world testing are increasingly key considerations in the counter-drone effort. NATO’s push for standardised protocols and projects like Interpol’s Courageous 2 show how seriously this is being taken. 📖 Read C-UAS Hub Editor Adam Jeffs' take on the discussions around interoperable, layered defenses that were shared at the conference: https://lnkd.in/eYgDk9Bi #CounterUAS #HomelandSecurity #LayeredDefense #Interoperability #Drones

AV expands counter-drone collaboration at Grand Forks AFB AeroVironment (AV) has expanded its partnership with GrandSKY, the commercial UAS business park located near Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota, to deploy an integrated counter-drone architecture aimed at protecting critical U.S. infrastructure. The collaboration marks the next step in establishing the foundation of AV’s involvement in the “Golden Dome for America” initiative, a defense concept modeled after Israel’s “Iron Dome” and designed to defend U.S. military and civilian sites from aerial threats. #CounterUAS #US #GoldenDome #AirDefense #Drones #StrategicPartnership https://lnkd.in/eFKt5zHm
