Cancer Support Community was recently featured in Lee Health's Health Matters segment, which aired on NBC2. “The Cancer Support Community is a global organization that provides psychosocial support to anyone impacted by cancer. That means we're providing support education, healthy lifestyle activities, social connections and resources, referrals and navigation,” said Kelly Hendershot, VP of Mission Delivery Cancer Support Community. “Now when they come and get their chemo or their radiation or see their doctors in between, they might be able to run to music therapy. Think about how different that is for a cancer patient to be able to say, I'm not going to chemotherapy I'm going to yoga today,” said Debi Wilson, MSN, RN, OCN, FACHE, Vice President of Operations Lee Health Cancer Institute.
