CAPE is proud to announce that, alongside Ayuda, the Ayuda CAPE JV has been awarded one of three positions on the EPA’s Tri-State Lead (Pb) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). This $350 million, five-year contract provides vital environmental support services for EPA Region 7, primarily within and related to Superfund sites in the Tri-State Mining District geographical area and smelter sites in the states of Kansas and Missouri. Our joint venture will have the opportunity to perform environmental removal action and remedial action services at Superfund sites impacted by lead and other heavy metals from historic mining and smelting activities. These actions may include excavation, transportation, and disposal of hazardous substances; mine waste remediation and property restoration; water line installations/service connections hookups; and residential water filter/treatment system installation and maintenance. CAPE Employee Spotlight | Stephany Bolivar. Born in Utah and raised in Georgia, Stephany has deep ties to both the U.S. and Colombia, where her parents are both from. After earning her degree at Agnes Scott College and completing a software development bootcamp at GA Tech during COVID, she spent almost a decade in NYC before recently moving back to Atlanta to be closer to family. Outside of work, Stephany is a lifelong learner and fitness enthusiast who enjoys rock climbing, hiking, coaching CrossFit, and spending time with her 2.5-year-old mini dachshund, Honey. Fun fact: she loves concerts and once went to over 40 in a single year! CAPE teams up with Oneida SRS in a competitive award for Army environmental services! We’re proud to share that CAPE-SRS JV, LLC has been selected to participate in a $500 Million firm-fixed-price contract vehicle with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Baltimore District, providing environmental, technical, and management services through August 2032. This award positions our joint venture team to deliver a spectrum of critical capabilities-ranging from environmental investigation to remediation and management-as we support projects across varied Army installations. Big thanks to our Oneida SRS colleagues, the CAPE team, and the USACE for placing trust in our collective expertise. We’re proud to share that CAPE’s work at the Waipio Peninsula Confined Disposal Facility (CDF) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam was featured in the Department of the Navy’s “2024 Year In Review” video (see 1:18 mark). This contract highlights the value of small business contributions to enhancing safety and restoring the environment.” CAPE is proud to be that small business — delivering innovative solutions and meticulous execution to support NAVFAC’s mission. CAPE Employee Spotlight | Stephen Greer, Ph.D. Born in the Panama Canal Zone and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Stephen has always been driven by curiosity and a passion for science. He earned his B.S. in Biology from Grove City College and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Stephen recently joined CAPE HydroTek as a Senior Scientist, leveraging his experience from academia, startups, and industry to help bring revolutionary water technology to the U.S. market. His postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia included groundbreaking work in plant wax and lipid pathways, leading to discoveries that reshaped textbook understanding and paved the way for future innovation. Inspired by a belief that science should create positive, sustainable change, Stephen transitioned from research to industrial roles to implement solutions that have real-world impact. His advice for those starting out: “It’s not enough to see or describe a problem—what changes the future is the audacity to develop solutions and dedicate yourself to putting them into action.” At CAPE, Stephen values the collaborative curiosity of his colleagues and the patient, down-to-earth approach from leadership! #WeNotMe #OutstandingPeople #OutstandingResults
