We're proud to recognize this year’s Silver Star honorees for their dedication and impact! Their passion and commitment to uplifting others set a powerful example in our community. Each honoree’s journey is unique, but they all share a drive to create meaningful change. A special acknowledgement goes to honoree Ken Boutwell, Chairman of CHP’s Board of Directors, whose decades of service have helped shape our mission to advance health and wellness throughout the region. His impact continues to inspire us all.

About us
In 1982, a group of Tallahassee’s civic leaders came together to create a quality, affordable health care system to meet the health needs of the community. More than thirty-five years later, Capital Health Plan has become a national health care leader. We started with 5,000 members and a network of 75 doctors. We’ve now grown to more than 135,000 members with a broad network of more doctors, hospitals and other health care providers throughout our service area.

At Capital Health Plan, we believe access to care begins with access to opportunity. That’s why we’re proud to donate $200,000 over the next two years to Florida State University College of Medicine's Bridge to Clinical Medicine Program, which helps students overcome financial barriers to medical school. Part of our commitment to building healthier communities, this investment supports a stronger, more diverse health care workforce.

To better serve our patients and staff, the LabCorp facility at our Governor’s Square location will undergo renovations beginning next Monday, May 12. The project is expected to last about three months, with a reopening planned for August 11. During this time, LabCorp services will be temporarily unavailable at this location. Some areas and hallways will have limited access, and you may experience occasional noise. We’re working to keep disruptions minimal throughout the renovation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we make important updates to our facilities. Other LabCorp facilities will remain open, including the one in our Metropolitan Health Center.
