This is what social justice in action looks like. Today, Kauana, a Capital Prep Harbor senior, stood before the CT State Board of Education to advocate for the opening of Capital Prep Middletown. The school was approved back in 2023, but still hasn’t received the funding needed to open its doors. Kauana isn’t just speaking for herself—she’s standing up for every Middletown family still waiting for the educational opportunities that Capital Prep scholars in Bridgeport already receive. What Capital Prep provides goes far beyond the classroom. We don’t just educate scholars—we empower future leaders who will change the world. Because they are Capital Prep. Today, Capital Prep Bronx stood with over 200 NYC public charter schools to champion educational equity. No child’s future should be defined by their race, zip code, or socio-economic status. Every student deserves access to a high-quality education. #WeAreCapitalPrep
