Today is World Mental Health Day and to mark the milestone I've been working with Stefanie Scurr to help her and her husband Andrew launch Brighter Skies - a powerful new campaign born from personal trauma to raise awareness of perinatal mental health and drive change across Yorkshire. The couple has channelled their lived experience of a postpartum mental health crisis to help other parents in North Yorkshire avoid the same fate. 🍕 A slice of heaven just landed in our kitchen! I love pizza. Done right, it’s pure joy. Done wrong… well, let’s just say my home oven has seen some tragic, soggy-bottomed attempts. I do have a pizza oven, but it only comes out a couple of times a year, and even then, it’s a gamble. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce that we've started working with Edinburgh-based east PIZZAS to promote their 72-hour-proved sourdough bases, doughballs, and topped pizzas. Founded in 2017 by Roland Simpson and Rob Marshall - two ex-corporate pros who swapped spreadsheets for pizza peels - they’re on a mission to bring restaurant-quality sourdough pizza into homes, without compromising on ingredients or flavour. You had me at sourdough. My awesome North PR team of foodie PRs will be helping them spread the word (pun absolutely intended!) with foodservice and retail trade PR as they expand nationally, and with national consumer comms to recruit even more pizza lovers to the east PIZZAs party.
