OCTOBER 5, 2025 Two more development flights completed Sunday. Every test is part of a deliberate cycle that drives everything we do at Castelion. These missions validate vertically integrated subsystems and components from a growing network of non-traditional suppliers nationwide. It’s not just about putting vehicles in the air; it’s about tightening the link between engineering and manufacturing so we can deliver capability at the speed deterrence demands.
About us
Castelion is bringing a new approach to defense development and production: one that focuses on short, iterative design cycles, rapid testing in development, and modern commercial manufacturing strategies for production at scale. We’re designing, building, and testing next generation long range strike weapons systems to give America and its Allies a definitive edge and deter future conflicts.

Castelion welcomes Alex Roesler to the team, who joins us from Sandia National Laboratories. As Deputy Director for Sandia’s Integrated Military Systems Center, Alex oversaw hypersonic vehicle design, development, qualification, and flight testing. He also led Sandia’s role as Design Agent for the Navy’s Conventional Prompt Strike and Army’s Long Range Hypersonic Weapon programs, guiding the Common Hypersonic Glide Body from development through transition to production. With Alex on the team, our push to deliver affordable long-range strike moves forward.

This summer brought Castelion to locations both near and far, battling high temperatures and inhospitable environments as we continued to push our development and test campaigns forward. Shoulder to shoulder, our team embraces the long days knowing this kind of Type 2 fun is what it takes to deliver the capabilities America needs.

Last week we paused the hustle for just a moment to celebrate the Castelion team and their families with a summer carnival. From dunk tanks and lawn games to tacos and snow cones, it was a chance to kick back, connect, and enjoy the crew that’s building something truly special. Grateful for this team and everything we’re building together. More missiles, fewer meetings. And the occasional ring toss.
