After more than 20 years of dedicated service to CBS Philadelphia and an award-winning career spanning nearly four decades, Jim Donovan, anchor of CBS News Philadelphia’s morning and noon newscasts, has announced his retirement. The 15-time Emmy Award winner joined Philadelphia in 2004 as the station’s “On Your Side” consumer reporter and went on to become one of the region’s most trusted voices. Donovan’s leadership helped relaunch and grow the morning newscast into one of the area’s most-watched programs. “Jim Donovan is a Philadelphia institution,” said Kelly Frank, president and GM of CBS Philadelphia. “His passion for advocacy, his commitment to our viewers, and his ability to connect with the community have made him a trusted voice in homes across the region.” CBS Philadelphia will celebrate Donovan’s career with special on-air tributes during his final week, December 15–19.

After 25 years with CBS News Miami and nearly five decades in journalism, Eliott Rodriguez will be stepping away from the anchor desk this December. Eliott’s career has spanned historic moments — from Hurricane Andrew to Fidel Castro’s death, and most recently, moderating the 2025 City of Miami Mayoral Debate. His reporting has earned multiple Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Awards, and his leadership has shaped generations of journalists in South Florida.
