⚙️ OSF Performance Update This week, we’re continuing work to improve site speed and reliability. What's happening: - The first round of performance instrumentation is complete, with another planned soon to get a more complete view across OSF - A fix for preprint page load times is being deployed to address recent slowdowns - A general optimization update is also rolling out to improve performance across all pages Once the next round of instrumentation is complete, we’ll have clearer insight into any remaining bottlenecks. Thanks for your patience as we continue improving the OSF user experience!

We think of #OA as open access to the complete research lifecycle. TOP gives a roadmap for what to include when considering a broader view of open science. Read more about it this #OAweek here: https://lnkd.in/ecTvF9jg

As we round out #OAweek, we’re reflecting on what strengthens credibility and reuse: open access moves us forward, and when it’s linked to open plans, methods, data, code, and review, its benefits multiply. Here’s our perspective on lifecycle openness and open infrastructure: https://lnkd.in/eEarw3Xu #OAweek #OpenScience #ScholComm

Open Access Week is a good moment to look beyond articles and focus on openness across the research lifecycle—from planning and preregistration through data sharing and publication. Our post shares how TOP is a map for thinking holistically about open science to make empirical claims more verifiable, translating that into seven practical steps. Research happens everywhere across institutions, but the people helping researchers navigate data management, collaboration tools, and open science workflows often face unique challenges behind the scenes. Our monthly webinar, 'Open Science Framework (OSF) for Institutions,' is designed specifically for academic librarians and research support staff, delving into the Open Science Framework (OSF). Register: https://lnkd.in/epf5jcTX We'll walk through: ➡ How project spaces, registrations, and preprints work together seamlessly ➡ Setting up single sign-on so researchers can easily connect their work to your institution ➡ The admin dashboard that actually shows you meaningful usage insights ➡ Real stories from institutions about what worked Whether you're troubleshooting research workflows, supporting with data management, or trying to understand your institution's research footprint, this webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of how OSF Institutions' role is not only as a researcher-facing tool but also as an institutional asset that fosters open science practices, transparency, and collaboration at scale. Watch this preview from our recent webinar ⬇️ Join us on the first Thursday of every month: https://lnkd.in/epf5jcTX #OpenScience #ResearchSupport #Libraries #DataManagement #HigherEd

🪲 OSF Update: Ongoing Fixes Following the recent OSF redesign, a few issues have been identified: - Some custom registry templates may not display all fields - OSF shows a maximum of 10 contributors, even if you add more - Certain pages on OSF may load slowly or seem unresponsive These issues are on our critical fix list and should be resolved soon. We’re also adding a loading indicator so it's clearer when OSF is working in the background. Stay tuned for updates over the next few weeks! Your patience and feedback help us improve the platform for everyone. Please reach out to support@osf.io with any further questions or to report issues.
