PLATHINIUM 2025: Advancing Plasma Technologies on the French Riviera From September 22 to 26, 2025, the international conference PLATHINIUM (Plasma Thin Film International Union Meeting) took place in Antibes, French Riviera, bringing together leading experts in plasma science and thin film technologies. The conference covered a broad spectrum of topics, including plasma-liquid interactions, plasma-assisted deposition, surface processing, nanotechnologies, and data-driven optimization of plasma processes. Our department was proudly represented by Prof. Petr Vasina, director of DPPT and head of the Deposition of Thin Films and Nanostructures research group, who delivered an invited lecture titled “Exploring Ionized Metal Flux Fraction in Magnetron Sputtering: Insights from Laboratory and Industrial Applications.” In addition, PhD candidate Leila Zahedi presented her research in an oral talk ”Enhancing Corrosion Resistance of Magnesium Alloys with Plasma Treatment and Electrospun Biodegradable Polymer Coating.” Her outstanding presentation was recognized with the Michel Cantarel Student Grant, including a monetary award. Congratulations to Leila on this achievement! #ÚFTP #CEPLANT #PLATHINIUM2025 #PlasmaTechnology #ThinFilms #MagnetronSputtering #CorrosionResistance #MasarykUniversity #PlasmaResearch #StudentAward
