After working hard all day to stay regulated, kids often release their stress in the safest place they know: home. Meltdowns, mood swings, and snack demands are all part of the process. In this Today Show article, parenting experts, including Dr. Dave Anderson break down why this happens, how to reframe it, and what you can do to support your child in those tough after-school moments. Swipe through to learn: • Why restraint collapse isn’t something to “fix” • Ways to help kids decompress • When it’s time to seek extra support For more resources on managing children's behavior: https://lnkd.in/ebbGV_Gc

Today marks the end of an incredible 5 week journey with the Youth Mental Health Academy. I’m so grateful to have been part of it and even been able to present our own presentation on the correlation between sleep and anxiety! This summer has taught me so much not just about mental health, but how important community is, communication , and how important connecting to the right resources is. I’m beyond grateful to everyone at Childs Mind Institution for creating this opportunity and for supporting us every step of the way. Even though this summer program is ending, the journey continues onto next summer! I’m excited for what’s next, a full year of mentorship, workshops, and growth all leading up to next summer’s internship!
