📉 Hotel Forecasts Take Another Hit — What It Means for Us in Hospitality CoStar and Tourism Economics downgraded their U.S. hotel growth forecast again over the summer. Why? “Unrelenting uncertainty and inflation,” says STR’s Amanda Hite. Add to that shifting travel patterns and tough calendar comps, and here we are. Here’s what they’re projecting now: Demand: ↓ 0.6 pts for 2025, ↓ 0.5 for 2026 ADR: ↓ 0.5 pts for 2025, ↓ 0.3 for 2026 RevPAR: ↓ 1.1 pts for 2025, ↓ 0.7 for 2026 In plain English — it’s going to be harder to grow topline revenue next year without getting smarter about operations. But this is where great leadership and adaptability matter most: 💡 Rethink your labor model (Task Force, flexible staffing, gig coverage). 💡 Focus on service culture because travelers are still spending, just more selectively. 💡 Double down on group, local, and loyalty business to protect the base.
